I’m sure you’ll have fun at IBM. This study term I’m taking an HCI course and the prof suggested to read this book on interface designs: http://www.amazon.com/Design-Everyday-Things-Donald-Norman/dp/0385267746. I think you’ll get more out of this book that I will.
